Hypertension is a chronic condition in which there is an elevation of blood pressure in the arteries. Blood pressure is classified as systolic and diastolic. Systolic pressure, when the heart pumps or beats and diastolic, when the heart relaxes. Hypertension is a common problem amongst people who are obese and adult. One of the causes of hypertension is fats that form in the arteries also known as thrombus, it clogs arteries leading to high blood pressure. Salt or salty foods also cause hypertension. Too much salt ends up in the blood stream; this in turn draws more water into the blood increasing the blood pressure. In some people their high blood pressure is caused by their existing sickness. …Complications of high blood pressure can quietly damage your body when it is not controlled. It may damage the brain or kidney or heart or your arteries. So keeping your blood pressure normal is essential to good health. Maintain it at 120/80.
